Kindness Wins:
Clinic with Madison Keys
Third Serve partnered with Kindness Wins for this event through our co-founder, Bruce Hawtin and Third Serve head coach/Barth Hawtin Tennis Academy Assistant Director, Zach Bost leading the clinic. Nine of our Third Serve athletes as well as three of our practice volunteers were chosen to participate at this event.
Madison Keys is currently a top 20 professional tennis player in the world. Her foundation, ‘Kindness Wins’ provided funds to assist in the re-developing of the JV Morris Tennis Center in North Charleston. To celebrate the city dedicating these courts to Kindness Wins for their charitable donation, city councilman Bob King and local elementary school students symbolically cut the grand re-opening ribbon prior to a one-hour tennis clinic.
As an NJTL affiliated chapter, we conducted an essay contest to choose our participants to travel with us to North Charleston. We took our student's essay responses and turned it in to a booklet, which we gifted to Madison.
